Após o triunfo de 2 a 0 sobre o CRB, o diretor de futebol e presidente do conselho deliberativo do Bahia falou sobre as eleições do clube que acontecem entre 1º a 15 de dezembro e sobre a crise atual do clube, em entrevista à Rádio Metrópole FM.
Ruy Accioly afirmou que o Reub Celestino está habilitado a se candidatar a presidente. "O Dr. Reub Celestino é sócio e conselheiro do clube. Tem ata dele assumindo o conselho em 2006 no momento do destrato com o Grupo Oportunitty", explicou. Reub Celestino é o nome apoiado pela oposição, mas ele diz que só irá se candidatar se houver um consenso em torno de seu nome.
Sobre o candidato da situação, Accioly voltou a dizer que ainda não há um nome. "Não temos nome ainda. Estávamos preocupados com essa situação do Bahia, mas com a vitória de hoje, na próxima semana deve sair alguma decisão", afirmou.
O atual presidente, Petrônio Barradas, já declarou publicamente que não disputará a reeleição para continuar no comando do clube no próximo triênio. O ex-presidente Paulo Maracajá, que lidera o grupo situacionista, também não vai se candidatar.
Ruy Accioly voltou a dizer que um dos culpados pela situação atual do Bahia é falta de um estádio para jogar em Salvador. Sem a Fonte Nova, o Bahia enfrenta uma grave crise financeira acentuada pela queda na arrecadação. "Ano passado na Série C tínhamos média de público de 40 mil e agora nós estamos pagando para jogar, pois a arrecadação em Feira não cobre as despesas com a promoção do jogo", disse.
"Nós estamos com dois meses de salário atrasados, teve aquelas greves com funcionários e mesmo com o Bahia nessa situação não vendemos nenhum patrimônio. O próximo grupo vai pegar o clube na Série B e vai ter a opção de vender a sede de praia" completou Accioly.
O presidente do conselho ainda afirmou que está preparando toda a documentação para que a sede de praia do clube possa ser vendida, caso seja a vontade do novo presidente. "Me arrependo de não ter feito isso para montar um time para voltar à Série A, mas o novo presidente vai ter essa opção", lamentou Ruy Accioly.
O diretor de futebol e presidente do conselheiro deliberativo do Bahia ainda falou sobre as contratações. "Não tínhamos orçamento para contratações e elas são sempre um risco. Às vezes você traz um jogador, mas ele não rende", finalizou.
